Welcome To Our Parish

St. Elphege’s Catholic Church Wallington is a parish with a long tradition of multi-cultural diversity situated in a truly cosmopolitan heart of Wallington in the London Borough of Sutton. We are a friendly parish and our doors are always opened to warmly welcome all peoples  of all faiths to encounter Christ in our unique ways.

Our diversity has richly endowed our parish with enormous potentials for growth in pastoral, liturgical, religious, spiritual and social life. This website offers more information about our parish covering the History of the Parish, Sacraments, Mass Times, Gallery of Photos, Groups, and Links to reach out to other relevant sources. We hope this serves as a perfect introduction to you as you seek to know about us. We are blessed with a Federation of Catholic Schools, St. Elphege’s R/C and Regina Coeli for Infants and Juniors.

You are welcome to join us in worship and prayers as we strive to know God, love Him, and serve Him in ways that are both familiar and creative. It is our vision to be a parish where the “joy of the gospel” is celebrated, lived out and shared to  “the ends of the earth” (Acts. 1: 8).

The John Fisher School

Choir leads Epilogue on the last Thursday of every month.  Epilogue is a short, reflective presentation of sacred music, a gospel reading and bidding prayers.  As we are unable to rehearse with the whole choir at the moment, some of our Year 13 students along with the Music department staff, have recorded a version of October’s Epilogue including wonderful music by Palestrina and Mozart. You can access the recording at this link here

Second Collections 2020

Given COVID 19, the programme of Second Collections in the  Archdiocese has been rescheduled according to the following timetable for the remainder of 2020. This means some doubling up of collections, but, given the circumstances, this seems an appropriate way forward, recognising that some people will also be facing personal financial challenges at this time.

• 8th November Priest Training Fund
• 22nd November Catholic Youth Service / Catholic Education Service
• 29th November Holy Places
• 13th December Peter Pence
• 20th December Apostleship of the Sea

Society for the Protection of Unborn Children

Pro-abortion MPs in Parliament want to stop pregnant women getting help outside abortion clinics by calling for buffer zones. SPUC is campaigning to save the right for peaceful pro-life vigils to take place. Hundreds of children are alive today in this country because their mother met a loving pro-life person just before they walked into the abortion clinic. We must protect this vital work.

Please sign our petition to save the right to save lives. It only takes a minute of your time, but it could mean a lifetime for an unborn baby.  You can sign the petition here: https://spuc.org.uk/SaveTheRightToSaveLives
