Welcome To Our Parish

St. Elphege’s Catholic Church Wallington is a parish with a long tradition of multi-cultural diversity situated in a truly cosmopolitan heart of Wallington in the London Borough of Sutton. We are a friendly parish and our doors are always opened to warmly welcome all peoples  of all faiths to encounter Christ in our unique ways.

Our diversity has richly endowed our parish with enormous potentials for growth in pastoral, liturgical, religious, spiritual and social life. This website offers more information about our parish covering the History of the Parish, Sacraments, Mass Times, Gallery of Photos, Groups, and Links to reach out to other relevant sources. We hope this serves as a perfect introduction to you as you seek to know about us. We are blessed with a Federation of Catholic Schools, St. Elphege’s R/C and Regina Coeli for Infants and Juniors.

You are welcome to join us in worship and prayers as we strive to know God, love Him, and serve Him in ways that are both familiar and creative. It is our vision to be a parish where the “joy of the gospel” is celebrated, lived out and shared to  “the ends of the earth” (Acts. 1: 8).

Considering this inconvenient time and its impacts on us all, we in St. Elphege’s Catholic Church, Wallington have decided to give a helping hand and support to individuals and families that may be in need of food and other supplies. We are grateful to all those who have contributed to this effort. We encourage those in need to come forward on Mondays, Fridays (10. 30 am – 12. 30 pm) and Sundays (11. 30 am – 1.30 pm) to collect what they need. Be assured of our prayers for you all at this life-altering time. The Lord is good, all the time! And all the time, the Lord is good!!

We have received several calls in the last few hours concerning the proposed Tier 4 lockdown, especially in the South East which affects our community.  I love to assure everyone that we are keeping our ears to the ground and will update everyone accordingly if and when there are any changes to our planned Christmas Confessions and Masses. For now, everything goes on as planned. I like to share the government rules regarding Tier 4 lockdown so that we can read what it says with regard to Places of Worship. We pray that we have as  joyful a Christmas as can be at a time like this. May God bless us all!
